  • What exactly is Independent Living?

    Independent Living affords active 55+ adults the benefits of living at home without the worry of home maintenance, housekeeping chores, and cooking. 55+ adults can live with independence and freedom and spend more time doing the things they actually enjoy, while having the peace of mind that someone is close by. Residents appreciate recreational, social, and cultural opportunities through daily planned activities and can connect with their peers who enjoy similar interests.

  • What are the typical services provided at Skye Luxury Retirement Living?

    We offer restaurant style gourmet chef-prepared meals, a large variety of social activities, personalized exercise programs, housekeeping/linen service, 7 day transportation, a beauty salon and many other resort style amenities.

  • How often can my family visit?

    When you move into Skye it becomes your home. Skye is designed so that you can get the most out of daily life, and live the luxurious lifestyle you deserve. As this is your home, we welcome family and friends to visit their loved ones as often as they wish. Out-of-town family and friends visiting overnight can stay with you in the comfort of your apartment.

  • Are there common areas and rooms available for residents and their guests?

    Our community offers several areas for friends and families to gather. Activities will abound to keep friends or family entertained, be it a new release in the surround-sound theater, swimming or exercising in the fitness center, a card game, or a fascinating local event scheduled by our concierge. A full-service restaurant is available as well at our Skye Bleu restaurant

  • Can I bring in my own private home health care services?

    Sure. Since Skye does not provide assisted living services, we more than welcome any private home health care services that you have arranged. Skye will have an on-site third party health care provider for assistance with daily activities – such as grooming, bathing, and dressing and medication oversight – these are provided at an extra fee for a la carte services, depending upon the level of care the resident requires.

  • Do you allow pets?

    Yes - You are welcome to bring your small pet with you. Residents must be appropriately responsible for the care and hygiene of their pets. You must provide Skye with copies of recent vaccinations. Please contact the Skye office team to inquire about its specific policies.

  • How many pets may I have?

    We allow a maximum of two pets per apartment home. Please check with the Skye office team for more details.

  • Is there a large upfront fee or buy-in to move in-to Skye?

    Fortunately, there is not. We only require a nominal community fee to set up your residency.

  • Can I furnish my own apartment?

    Absolutely! In fact, Skye Apartment Homes are perfect for those looking to downsize, but who have special items they just can't part with. Remember, this is your home and you should have all the familiar comforts to which you are accustomed.

  • Do you allow smoking at Skye?

    Skye is a non-smoking environment as we are sensitive to the health needs of all of our residents and staff.

  • Is it easy for people in wheelchairs to get around in the community?

    Certainly! Our Skye community has been built so that it is easy and safe for residents to get around. We accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

  • Are guest suites available for overnight guests?

    Yes. We do offer nightly suite rentals if additional space or privacy is required. The cost per night varies depending on guest suite size and number of guests, however the cost is very reasonable. Please check with the office team for more information and availability.

  • Does Skye have a fitness center?

    Yes – Our Skye Personal Fitness Trainer conducts daily classes and one on one personal training sessions in our state of the art cardio studio, weight and equipment room and sparking fitness pool.

  • Do residents have access to computers?

    Apple computers with high-speed internet access are available in our Skye technology center. Residents can connect with family and friends via e-mail, and surf the web for information and entertainment. We also provide free Wi-Fi in the common areas for your personal use.

  • What about housekeeping and laundry services?

    Housekeeping services to include light cleaning, vacuuming, linen change, and cleaning of kitchen and bath(s) are provided as part of the monthly rent. Individual laundry and additional housekeeping services can be provided at an additional charge.

  • What about maintenance issues?

    You leave that to us. All repairs and maintenance - both inside and out - are taken care of.

  • What utilities are included in my rent?

    Utilities included in your rental payment are electricity, water, sewage, trash removal, high speed internet, and Expanded Basic video service (all HD channels) with DVR.

  • Am I required to have renters insurance?

    You are not, but renters insurance is always recommended.

  • Do you have reserved parking?

    We do have general open parking and you can reserve a private carport or garage. Please contact your Skye office team for details and availability.

  • Is there any additional storage space available at your property?

    Absolutely! We offer various sized, convenient storage rooms for your additional storage needs. Please see the office team for details and availability.

  • Will you accept my delivery packages for me?

    We most definitely will and we will deliver them to your door at your convenience.
